Friday Night Dodgeball in Little Tokyo

Heyo, join us for some fun and friendly birthday dodgeball competition hosted by the fine folks of the Eagle Rock Yacht Club.

We’ll be meeting at Terasaki Budokan in Little Tokyo to throw some balls at each other,  have a few laughs, get a sweat on, and maybe work out some unresolved tensions between friends.

Event FAQ

  • HOW DO YOU PLAY DODGEBALL?

    The game’s objective is to eliminate all players on the opposing team by hitting them with a ball or catching a ball they throw at you.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I GET HIT WITH A BALL?

    If you get hit with a ball and it touches any part of your body, you are out and must leave the court. However, if a teammate catches the ball that was thrown at you before it touches the ground, you are back in the game.

  • CAN I CROSS THE CENTER LINE?

    No, players cannot cross the center line during gameplay. Doing so will result in being called out.

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

    Wear comfortable athletic clothes and shoes that you can easily move in. Avoid wearing jewelry or anything that could cause injury to yourself or others.

  • IS DODGEBALL SAFE?

    While dodgeball can be a physical and high-intensity sport, it is generally safe when played under proper supervision and following the rules of the game. Be sure to warm up and stretch before playing and communicate with your teammates to avoid collisions or accidents.

  • IS IT COOL IF I'VE NEVER PLAYED DODGEBALL BEFORE?

    Absolutely! Dodgeball is a fun and inclusive sport that welcomes players of all skill levels. Don’t be afraid to come out and try something new!

  • WHERE CAN I PARK?

    There is paid parking at Terasaki Budokan for a flat rate of $8 and plenty of metered street parking on adjacent streets.
