Join the ERYCookout at Debs Park, March 8th

Get ready to sizzle and socialize at the ERYC Cookout! We’re trading dodgeballs for spatulas and bringing our A-game to the grill (or at least Miryam and Chepe are). Join us for an afternoon of delicious food, fun games, and community vibes. Whether you’re a dodgeball pro or just here for the cookout, we want you there!

What to Expect

  • Epic Eats: ERYC will provide most of the main items: carne asada, rice, beans, guac, tortillas, and maybe even a piñata! Check out the RSVP form below to let us know what you’ll bring to add to the feast.
  • Games Galore: We’ll have lawn games like Cornhole and Can Jam. Feel free to bring more games to add to the fun!
  • Chill Vibes: Enjoy the tunes, catch up with friends, and relax in the shade. We’ll have a couple of shade structures and a large cooler full of ice to keep things chill.

What to Bring to the Cookout

  • Your Own Plate, Cup, & Utensils (if possible) – We’ll have extras, but let’s reduce waste!
  • A Side Dish or Drinks – Sign up via RSVP form to ensure variety.
  • A Chair or Blanket – There’s seating, but extra comfort is always good.
  • Games or Activities – Help keep the fun going!
  • Cooler with Ice – If you sign up to bring ice, please bring a cooler too.
  • Sunscreen & Hat – It’ll be 65°F, but shade can be limited.
  • Leftover Containers – If you want to take home food or help with donations.

Will you bring your own reusable plate, cup, and utensils?
Help us be kind to the environment! Commit to bringing your own reusable items. We’ll have disposables for those shady individuals who don't care about the environment. 😉

    Absolutely! The more, the merrier. Just make sure to include them in your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

  • Are dogs allowed?

    Yes, dogs are welcome. Rumor has it Bruce will be there. Just make sure they’re friendly and on a leash.

  • What about drinks?

    We’ll have non-alcoholic drinks. If you’d like to bring your own, please be discreet as park rules prohibit alcohol.

  • Seriously? Bring my own plates/utensils?

    We encourage everyone to bring their own reusable plates, cups, and utensils to help reduce waste. If you can bring your own items, that’s fantastic! But don’t worry, we’ll have extras and disposables available for those who forget.

  • What if I don’t know how to cook?

    No worries! You can bring store-bought items, or sign up to bring drinks or something simple.

  • What if I can’t stay the whole time?

    No problem! Come for as long as you can. We’d love to see you, even if it’s just for a bit.

  • Is there parking available?

    Yes, there is parking available at Ernest E. Debs Regional Park. However, carpooling or bike riding is always a good idea!
