Dive in with the ERYC’s Summer Swim at Yosemite Pool

Ahoy, Yacht Club members and aqua-loving friends!

On Saturday, August 24th, we’re diving into an exclusive swimming experience. We’ve reserved the entire Yosemite Public Pool just for our crew – meaning uninterrupted splashy fun!

Join us for a refreshing dip in the pool and later, paddle over with us to local watering hole for tasty snacks and bebidas.

Event Highlights:

  • Exclusive Pool Access: From 5 to 7 PM, the pool is all ours. Dive in without a care!
  • Swim & Socialize: Master your backstroke, try that daring cannonball, or simply float about. Afterwards, share the tales over delicious bites.
  • Yacht Club Vibes: Bring your favorite swim gear, a touch of Yacht Club flair, and an appetite for adventure.

Event FAQ

  • What CAN I bring to the pool?

    Umbrellas: Block out those rays, or just look stylish!

    Refreshments & Drinks: Stay hydrated and munch on snacks! Just ensure your beverages are non-alcoholic.

    Canopies/Shade Structures: We’re allowed two for our entire group. First come, first served!

    Chairs: If it has a built-in shade, even better!

    Water Bottles: Hydration is key! But ensure they’re not made of glass.

    Proper Swim Attire: This includes swimsuits or trunks with liners (board shorts are an exception).

    Please note that cotton shirts, socks, or undergarments can’t make the splash with you.

  • What should I NOT bring or do?

    Pool Floaties: As fun as they are, leave them at home for this one.

    Alcohol: Let’s save the spirits for another venue.

    Thong Bikinis: We’re all for style, but these are a no-go for our pool day.

    White T-Shirts & Rash-guards: They’re staying on the sidelines this time around.

  • What time should I arrive?

    We’ve booked the Yosemite Public Pool from 5 to 7 PM. Arrive a little earlier if you want to get right in, or arrive anytime but know we have a “hard out” at 7PM.

  • Do I need to bring a ticket or proof of registration?

    We’ve got a list of all registered participants, you’ll just check in with the front desk, give them your name and you should be good to go.

  • Can kids attend?

    Pool rules require that minors take a swim test prior to participating in our event. If you’d like to bring your kids, reach out we’ll be happy to inform you of the process. hello@theyachtclub.org

  • Is there a lifeguard on duty?

    Yes, there will be a lifeguard overseeing the pool activities. However, always practice caution and swim within your abilities.

  • Are there changing rooms and lockers available?

    Yosemite Public Pool provides changing rooms. Our event is closed to the public so you can keep your belongings pool-side.

     

  • Can I bring my own food?

    We’ll have pool-side snacks and refreshments. Feel free to bring your own small snacks and water bottles.

  • What about post-swim plans?

    After our swim, we’re meeting up at Taco Social on Colorado Blvd for some good food and company. Join us there!
